Morgan was featured in an informative film Safe Sex for Men and Women on AIDS education and prevention. A portion of the profits went to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has been the driving force behind numerous fund-raising projects for the disease and she also testified before a special Congressional committee about AIDS education. She sits on the board of Governors of APLA and Board of Directors of Amfar. C. Everett Koop's former assistant surgeon general asked occasionally to sub for him during AIDS awareness programs. Additionally, she was the host of the AIDS Awareness Special presented by Steve Bell. Ted Koppell asked her to be on two occasions on Nightline in relation to AIDS. Morgan has been nominated by the Emmys for Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially specifically for Morgan. In the spring, she appeared as Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. Then, she began the summer season by appearing in Murder At The PTA Luncheon produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. It also included Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. Her next project brought her to Luxembourg to star in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady which also starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also in the psychological suspense thriller made exclusively by the USA Network garnering one of the most impressive ratings in the history of the network.
